Life is a journey, and sometimes it leads us to unexpected places, and we're left feeling lost and stuck. When we lose our bearings in life, we can trust God. His trustworthy Word is our compass and we use that to lead us into a deeper fellowship with Him. Alessia is the founder of The Compass Center for Wellness, PLLC. Her goal is to help clients navigate through their journey to experience abundant life. She enjoys integrating theology into her work because she believes the love of God is the most powerful agent of change anyone can encounter.

Alessia is passionate about helping individuals grow strong in the midst of their pain and brokenness. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families who have experienced trauma and/or life transitions issues, helping them to walk through the process of healing and recovery. She is trained in and uses trauma-focused treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Alessia is also passionate about serving those who serve. She enjoys working with churches that host get away debriefing retreats dedicating every second, from the moment global workers arrive, to restoring and empowering them so that they can continue to do what they were called to do. To help assure the emotional stability of global workers, Alessia also provides individual services and support through confidential face-to-face counseling, assessments, debriefing, and equipping.

Alessia strives to collaborate with her clients, using the therapeutic relationship to build self-compassion, discover strengths, and reduce shame. According to Scripture, the LORD is near to the brokenhearted and able to redeem brokenness, making beauty our of ashes and joy out of mourning - Isaiah 61. As a therapist, she believes that it is in brokenness that one finds strength and that it is in the darkest places that hope, and healing emerge.
